A 23 member team of state cadre Police Officers from North Eastern Police Academy met Governor Dr. S. C. Jamir in Raj Bhavan on 10.9.2014. The Police Officers five from Nagaland, three from Sikkim and thirteen from Arunachal Pradesh with two faculty members are now visiting Odisha as part of Bharat Darshan Study Tour. The team will visit Puducherry and Vizag besides Bhubaneswar.

Shri Panda, a Post Graduate in Economics from JNU, joined Indian Railways in 1987. Shri Panda has had the distinction of serving as Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) at Sambalpur, Bilaspur and Khurda Road and also Chief Safety Officer of East Coast Railway at Bhubaneswar. He has worked in senior positions at Adra, Waltair and Kolkata too, besides a successful tenure as Head of Indian Railways Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) at Bhubaneswar.
