Centre considering Odisha plea for Khandadhar mines to Posco .Steel and Mines minister Narendra Singh Tomar today said the Central government is actively considering the recommendation of the Odisha government for granting mining lease for Khandadhara iron ore mines in Sundargarh district to South Korean steel maker Posco, which plans to set up a 12 million tonne integrated steel plant near the port town of Paradip in Jagatsinghpur district.

Shri Panda, a Post Graduate in Economics from JNU, joined Indian Railways in 1987. Shri Panda has had the distinction of serving as Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) at Sambalpur, Bilaspur and Khurda Road and also Chief Safety Officer of East Coast Railway at Bhubaneswar. He has worked in senior positions at Adra, Waltair and Kolkata too, besides a successful tenure as Head of Indian Railways Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) at Bhubaneswar.
