Odisha rights body, victim’s family hail CBI probe into custodial death. Human Rights Front (HRF) today welcomed the Odisha High Court order asking the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Bhubaneswar to probe the alleged custodial death of an accused Kuldeep Mohapatra in the Saheed Nagar police station on June 5, 2012.

Shri Panda, a Post Graduate in Economics from JNU, joined Indian Railways in 1987. Shri Panda has had the distinction of serving as Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) at Sambalpur, Bilaspur and Khurda Road and also Chief Safety Officer of East Coast Railway at Bhubaneswar. He has worked in senior positions at Adra, Waltair and Kolkata too, besides a successful tenure as Head of Indian Railways Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) at Bhubaneswar.
