Bhubaneswar / Cuttack -10:- Cuttack State Police Headquarters meeting was held in the Conference Hall of State Police Headquarters, Cuttack under the chairmanship of Dr. R.P.Sharma, DGP to chalk out the detailed plans and programmes for the 60th Senior Police Officers Conference- 2018. In the meeting, DGP emphasized that the traditional format and structure of the conference will be modified with emphasis on presentation on topical and issue-based themes which have bearing upon the police functions, duties and responsibilities. As per decision, the conference will be held tentatively in the 2nd week of January, 2018 and it will be held for two and half days. Dr. R.P.Sharma, DGP will inaugurate the programme and Hon'ble Chief minister will be requested to grace the valedictory function as Chief Guest. Sri Satyajit Mohanty, Addl. DGP (Provisioning) has been nominated as the Conference Secretary and Sri Amitabh Thakur, IGP (L &O) will act as the Dy. Conference Secretary. There will be discussion on various policing subjects like capacity up-gradation of police stations, people friendly policing, ethical behavior in policing, management of
financial resources, effective use of social media, improvement in conviction rate, critical incident management and police training policy etc. It has also been decided to give slots to Odisha Police Housing and Welfare Corporation, State Vigilance, Prisons and Home Guards & Fire Services. For smooth management of the conference different sub-committies will be constituted under the chairmanship of Senior Officers. Sri Sunil Roy, Director Intelligence, Sri Satyajit Mohanty, ADGP
