I)          JUNIOR CLERK CONVICTED IN VIGILANCE CASE.
               On 31.10.2017, the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Keonjhar convicted Sri Krushna Chandra Bal, Ex-Junior Clerk, O/o Saharpada Tahasil, Dist. Keonjhar, A/p. Junior Clerk, O/o Sub-Collector Champua, Dist. Keonjhar and sentenced him to undergo R.I for a period of 06 months and to pay fine of Rs.5,000/-, in default, to undergo R.I for a period of 01 month for the offence  U/s 7 P.C.Act, 1988. The Hon’ble Court further sentenced him to undergo R.I for a period of 01 year and to pay fine of Rs.10,000/-, in default, to undergo R.I for a period of 02 months for the offence U/s 13(2)/13(1)(d) of the P.C. ActBoth the sentences are to run concurrently.
                It relates to Balasore Vigilance PS case No. 27 dt. 19.06.2013 U/s 13(2)/13(1)(d)/7 P.C. Act, registered against Sri Krushna Chandra Bal, Ex-Junior Clerk, O/o Saharpada Tahasil, Dist. Keonjhar for demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs. 800/- from the Complt. Sri Ramesh Chandra Mohanta to issue RoR in connection with conversion of kisam of his land. On completion of investigation, charge sheet was submitted against Sri Bal to face trial in the Court of Law.              Sri D.D.Biswal, Spl. P.P, Vigilance Court, Keonjhar conducted the case on behalf of the prosecution and Sri Prakash Kumar Nayak, Ex-DSP of Vigilance, Keonjhar Unit investigated into the case.
II)      AGRICULTURE OVERSEER  CONVICTED IN VIGILANCE CASE.
On 31.10.2017, the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Baripada convicted Sri Priyapada Behera, Ex-Agriculture Overseer, O/o Asst. Agriculture officer, Saraskana, Jharpokharia, Dist. Mayurbhanj(Retd) and sentenced him to undergo R.I for a period of 01 year and to pay fine of Rs.10,000/-, in default, to undergo R.I for a period of 02 months on each count for the offence  U/s 7 / 13(2) of the P.C. Act 1988. Both the sentences are to run concurrently.
                It relates to Balasore Vigilance PS case No. 32 dt. 12.06.2012 U/s 13(2)/13(1)(d)/7 P.C. Act, registered against Sri Priyapada Behera, Ex-Agriculture Overseer, O/o Asst. Agriculture officer, Saraskana, Jharpokharia, Dist. Mayurbhanj for demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs. 5,000/- from the Complt. Sri Guru Prasad Behera to process the file relating to issuance of shallow well in favour of his brother. On completion of the investigation, charge sheet was submitted against Sri Behera to face trial in the Court of Law.                                                                                                     Sri K.C.Satpathy, Spl. P.P, Vigilance Court, Baripada conducted the case on behalf of the prosecution and Sri Radhakrushna Kanungo, Ex-DSP of Vigilance, Baripada Unit investigated into the case.
III)    HEAD CLERK  CONVICTED IN VIGILANCE CASE.
On 31.10.2017, the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar convicted Sri Ajit Kumar Sahoo, Ex-Head Clerk, Basanta Manjari, Swasthya Niwas, Chandpur, Dist. Khurda and sentenced him to undergo R.I for a period of 02 years and to pay fine of Rs.5,000/-, in default, to undergo R.I for a period of 03 months on each count for the offence  U/s 7 / 13(2) of the P.C. Act 1988. Both the sentences are to run concurrently.
                It relates to Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS case No. 42 dt. 06.11.2017 U/s 13(2)/13(1)(d)/7 P.C. Act, registered against Sri Ajit Kumar Sahoo, Ex-Head Clerk, Basanta Manjari Swasthya Niwas, Chandpur, Dist. Khurda for demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs.3,000/- from the Complt. Sri Santosh Chayupattnaik for releasing his salary from the date of his joining. On completion of investigation, charge sheet was submitted against Sri Sahoo to face trial in the Court of Law.         
         Sri H.K.Swain, Spl. P.P, Vigilance Court, Bhubaneswar conducted the case on behalf of the prosecution and Sri R.K.Panda, Ex-Inspector of Vigilance, Bhubaneswar Division, A/p. DSP, Vigilance Directorate Cuttack investigated into the case.
IV)      JUNIOR CLERK CONVICTED IN VIGILANCE CASE.
On 28.10.2017, the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhawanipatna convicted Sri Jitendra Kumar Dakua, Ex-Junior Clerk, Red Cross Section, Collectorate Kalahandi and sentenced him to undergo R.I for a period of 02 years and to pay fine of Rs.1,000/-, in default, to undergo R.I for a period of 01 month on each count for the offence  U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(c) P.C. Act 1988/409 IPC. Both the sentences are to run concurrently.
                It relates to Koraput Vigilance PS case No. 50 dt. 30.12.2013 U/s 13(2) r/w13(1)(c) P.C. Act/409/477-A IPC, registered against Sri Jitendra Kumar Dakua, Junior Clerk, Red Cross Section, Collectorate Kalahandi for misappropriation of Red Cross funds amounting to Rs.3,12,778/-. On completion of investigation, charge sheet was submitted against Sri Dakua to face trial in the Court of Law. 
          Sri Asutosh Mishra, Spl. P.P, Vigilance Court, Bhawanipatna conducted the case on behalf of the prosecution and Sri Satyananda Mahananda, Ex-DSP of Bhawanipatna Unit Division investigated into the case.
