Two new building projects of Odisha Police have been inaugurated today by
Sh. Naveen Patnaik, Hon,ble Chief Minister of Odisha. Hon'ble Chief Minister
first inaugurated the new office building of Economic Offence Wing & Special
Task Force at Keshari Nagar, Unit-5 and then the Command Centre & Control
Room of State Armed police in the same place.
The Economic Offences Wing & Special Task Force Building of Crime
Branch is a five storeyed building with the built up area of 47.500 sqft. Its
estimated cost is approximately Rs 14,85,77,800/-. Odisha Police Housing &
Welfare Corporation was the executant of this building project.
Similarly, the Command Centre & Control Room of Special Armed Police,
Odisha is a four storeyed building with the built up area of 42, 543 sqft. The
estimated cost of the project is approximately Rs 7,50,00,000/-. The date of
commencement of the project was 10th September, 2015 and completed on
31.8.2017.
Inaugurating the projects, Hon'ble Chief Minister lauded the effort of
State Police in maintaing law and order and curbing Maoists menace in the
State. Hon'ble CM also urged upon the police force to provide better and
prompt services to the common man.
Dr. R.P.Sharma, DGP gave the welcome address while Sri Satyajit
Mohanty, Addl. DGP (Hdqrs) gave the vote of thanks at the end. The
programme was attended by Sri Prasanna Patsani, Hon'ble MP, Bhubaneswar,
Sh. Priyadarshi Mishra, Hon'ble MLA Bhubaneswar, Sh. Ananta Narayan Jena,
Hon'ble Mayor, Bhubaneswar and Senior Officers of the State Police.
