The State Government has decided to observe the Vigilance Awareness Week this year from 30th October to 4th November, 2017 with the theme “My Vision-Corruption Free India”, as advised by Central Vigilance Commission.
Like previous years, it has been decided to organize the Week in every district by undertaking a systematic campaign, involving the members of the civil society to fight the evils of corruption.  As per the directive of the Central Vigilance Commission, two integrity pledges are available, one for enlisting support and commitment of the citizens and the other, for corporates/entities/firms etc. (Annexure-A & B). The observance of the Vigilance Awareness week would commence with the Integrity Pledge (copy enclosed at Annexure ‘A’) by public servants in the Ministries/Departments/ Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) /Public Sector Banks (PSBs) and all other Organizations on 30th October, 2017 at 11.00 A.M.  The same integrity pledge will also be taken by the public servants in all the Departments/Heads of Departments/Heads of Public Sector Undertakings, and all Heads of Offices/Establishments of the State govt. on the scheduled date and time. It may be noted that earlier pledge being taken by public servants in this respect has now been replaced by the Integrity Pledge.
To mark this occasion and for making a perceptible impact, it has been decided to display banners and posters containing appropriate messages for this occasion at important public places. Likewise, debates/essay/cartoon-cum-caption competitions on the theme “My vision-corruption free India” are being organized in schools and colleges to create awareness amongst the students and the youth in particular and the people in general about combating corruption on multiple fronts.
