1)    PEO ARRESTED BY VIGILANCE ON GRAFT CHARGE.
Today i.e. on 18.10.2017, Sri Ramakrushna Panigrahi, Panchayat Executive Officer, Khairaputi Gram Panchayat under Belaguntha Block, Dist. Ganjam has been arrested by the Officers of Vigilance, Berhampur Division for demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs.40,000/- from the Complt. Sri Banamali Bhuyan, S/o Iswar Bhuyan of village Indanpur, P.S. Gangapur, Dist. Ganjam to process the file and to take steps for payment of the rest amount relating to construction of a cremation hall at village Indanpur.
The gist of the case is that the complt. Sri Bhuyan was issued with work order for execution of project “construction of a cremation hall” at village Indanpur amounting to Rs.2,50,000/-. On completion of the work, he received Rs.78,000/- in shape of running bill and requested the accused Sri Pangirahi to process the file and to take steps for payment of the rest amount.  On this, the accused Sri Panigrahi demanded Rs.40,000/- from him (Complt.) for the above purpose.  Finding no other option, he reported the matter to the Supdt. of Police, Vigilance, Berhampur Division.
Accordingly, a trap was laid today i.e. 18.10.2017 at about 01.00 PM. The accused Sri Panigrahi was caught red handed in his office chamber, while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.40,000/- from the Complt. Sri Bhuyan. The bribe money has been recovered from his possession. His right hand & cotton bag wash gave positive chemical reaction confirming acceptance of bribe. Sri Panigrahi has been arrested and will be forwarded to the Court. His paternal house at Bhejiput, Bhanjanagar and office quarter at Belaguntha Block are being searched.
                   In this connection, Berhampur Vigilance P.S. case No. 50 dt.17.10.2017 U/s 7 P.C. Act, 1988 has been registered.

2)  Report following house Search of Sri Bhugol Banagula, Head Master, Govt. Girl’s High School, Saintala, Dist.Bolangir.

              Basing on the allegation of acquisition of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income by Sri Bhugol Banagula, Head Master, Govt. Girl’s High School (S.C & S.T Deptt.), Saintala, Dist. Bolangir, his (1) double storied building at Ganganagar, Dist. Bolangir, (2) office chamber at Govt. Girl’s High School, Saintala, (3) Govt. residential quarter at Saintala, (4) paternal house at Tentulimunda, Dist. Bolangir and (5) brother-in-law’s house at Titilagarh, Dist. Bolangir were simultaneously searched today  i.e. on 18.10.2017  by the Officers of Vigilance, Sambalpur Division on the strength of search Warrants issued by the Hon’ble Court.
                   During search, the following approximate movable and immovable assets have been traced out from the possession of Sri Banagula and his family members.
