CM approves Interpretation Centre on Poet Gangadhar Meher

Bhubaneswar, 18th October 2017: Chief Minsiter Sri Naveen Patnaik has approved an Interpretation Centre at Barpalli in Bargarh district on 'Nature Poet Gangadhar Meher'. The Interpretation Centre shall be implemented by Department of Tourism with a project cost of Rs. 45 lakh.
The State of Art Interpretation Centre shall have audio visuals on the life of Poet
Gangadhar Meher, popularly known as Swabhab Kabi. The artifacts relating to his works and his
life shall also be showcased in this Interpretation Centre.

Shri Panda has had the distinction of serving as Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) at Sambalpur, Bilaspur and Khurda Road and also Chief Safety Officer of East Coast Railway at Bhubaneswar. He has worked in senior positions at Adra, Waltair and Kolkata too, besides a successful tenure as Head of Indian Railways Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) at Bhubaneswar.
