KIIT and ‘Inspiring Minds’ (IM) have joined hands to work on areas that are more pertinent for the children in current times. Inspiring Minds (IM), an organisation started by Gulshan Memoria and Samar Nischal in Delhi. A three-day workshop was jointly organized by IM and KIIT in KiiT international School for the students of class 7, 8, 9 and 11. On the first day with the students of Class XI, realistic examples were presented reflecting the problems face by students while studying a lot of advanced concepts, where, students got able to differentiate their dreams & goals. The students of class 9 were sensitized on the issues “Bullying and Conflict” in their school life.
The students were first made aware why the school life is very important and even at times they got teased by their friends or schoolmates but that may not be with a bad intention or when they should realise to term it as Bullying. Workshops for Students of Class 7 and Class 8 were “Communication strategies” and "Every Idea matters" respectively. In the workshop Every Idea matters, the students were suggested to become innovative in their approach rather than just in the academics.
The core ideology of the workshop was appreciating all ideas and there is no such concept of "Good Idea" or "Bad Idea" since "Bad Idea" is just an imperfection state of "Good Idea". KiiT international school not only concerned over the academic performance, but always strives to provide experience beyond the books for its students, said Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS while thanking to IM for their effort. Mona lisa Bal, Chairperson and Dr. Sanjay Suar, Principal, KiiT International School were present on the occasion.
