Divisional Railway Manager, Khurda Road Shri Brij Mohan Agarwal has appealed to all concerned to extend all possible help and cooperation to the Railways during the famous Kali Puja Festival at Bhadrak.

The festivities are conducted near the Railway Station premises and there is heavy overcrowding in Railway areas. This year, Railways have taken Special Steps to avoid any kind of stampede like situation. No overcrowding will be allowed on the Station Foot Over Bridge. To control the crowds, only genuine ticket holders will be allowed on the Foot Over Bridge. This will ensure safety of women passengers, little children and elderly people. Railways have consulted all concerned and taken the local administration into confidence before initiating such a step.

Very recently, a stampede occurred at Mumbai’s Elphinestone Road Station and a number of precious lives were lost. We do not want any unfortunate incident to happen. “Safety comes First. All concerned are requested to extend full cooperation for greater public good”, said Shri Agarwal, DRM, Khurda Road.

Shri B. M. Agarwal, DRM/Khurda Road, yesterday visited Bhadrak Railway Station and reviewed the arrangements. The alternate route for public via nearby Level Crossing Gate has been illuminated fully and the road connecting the same has been repaired and will be kept under special watch. Special TTE Squads and extra RPF personnel have been deployed at Bhadrak this year for this Kali Puja.
