1)                    Report following house Search of Sri Chitaranjan Banagolla, OAS, Tahasildar, Narayanpatna, Dist.                   Koraput.  

              Basing on the allegation of acquisition of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income by Sri Chitaranjan Banagolla, OAS, Tahasildar, Narayanpatna, Dist. Koraput, his 1) residential house located at Khariar, Dist, Nuapada, 2) paternal house at Vill. Bhela, PS. Komna, Dist. Nuapada and 3) residential Govt. quarter and office chamber at Narayanpatna were simultaneously searched today  i.e. on 13.10.2017  by the Officers of Vigilance, Koraput Division,  on the strength of search Warrants issued by the Hon’ble Court.

2)                                    ABEO ARRESTED BY VIGILANCE ON GRAFT CHARGE.
Inline image 2Today i.e. on 13.10.2017, Sri Jaymuni Behera, Asst. Block Education Officer, Jamda Block, Dist. Mayurbhanj was arrested by the Officers of Vigilance, Balasore Division, while demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs.4,000/- from the Complt. Md. Akbar, husband of Masuda Khatun, President, Neha Self Help Group(SHG), Dundu under Jamda Block, Dist. Mayurbhanj for approval of pending bill relating to the expenditure incurred due to mid-day meal and supply of MDM rice to the SHG. The SHG has been entrusted with preparation of mid-day meal for Dundu Nodal U.P. School and 07 other Schools of the Block.
Accordingly, a trap was laid today i.e. 13.10.2017 at about 10.15 AM. The accused SriBehera was caught red handed in the office room of Head Master, Dundu Nodal U.P. School, while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.4,000/- from the Complt. Md. Akbar. The bribe money has been recovered from his pant pocket. His hand & pant pocket wash gave positive chemical reaction confirming acceptance of bribe. Sri Behera has been arrested and forwarded to the Court. His residential house at Mahuladiha Rairangpur, Dist. Mayurbhanj and office room are being searched.
                   In this connection, Balasore Vigilance P.S. case No. 52 dt. 12.10.2017 U/s 7 P.C. Act, 1988 has been registered.

3)        C.D.P.O. CONVICTED IN VIGILANCE CASE. 
On 12.10.2017, the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Baripada convicted Smt. Anjana Mishra, Ex-CDPO, Jashipur Block, Dist. Mayurbhanj (Retd) and sentenced her to undergo R.I for a period of 01 year and to pay fine of Rs.5,000/-, in default, to undergo R.I for a period of 02 months on each count for the offence U/s 13(1)(d)/7 P.C.Act, 1988. Both the sentences are to run concurrently. 
 It relates to Balasore Vigilance P.S. Case No. 22 dt. 30.04.2004 U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1) (d) / 7 P.C.Act, 1988. The gist of the case is that the above noted case was registered against Smt. Mishra for demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs.1,000/- from the Complt. Smt. Chandralata Mohanta, Anganabadi worker to release her arrear dues. On completion of investigation, charge sheet was submitted against Smt. Mishra to face the trial in the court of law.                                                                                                                                                                                       
           Sri Karunakar Panigrahi, Ex-Inspector, Vigilance, Baripada Unit, Mayurbhanj was the Investigating Officer of the case and Sri K.C.Satpathy, Spl. P.P, Vigilance Court, Baripada conducted the case on behalf of the prosecution.
