1)                    Report following house Search of Sri Niranjan Sahu,Asst. Engineer (Estimator), R&B Division-1,          Berhampur.  

              Basing on the allegation of acquisition of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income by Sri Niranjan Sahu, Asst. Engineer (Estimator), R&B Division-1, Berhampur, his (1) residential and commercial complex located at Bhabinipur, Mouza- Basudev Nagar, Berhampur, (2) residential double storied building  at Bapuji Nagar, 2^nd lane, Bank Colony, Medical Campus, Berhampur,         (3) office chamber of Shri Niranjan Sahu at R&B Division-I, Giri Road, Berhampur, (4) double storied building  at his native village- Jagannath Marg (Rangani Sahi) P.S.- Hinjilkatu, Dist. Ganjam, (5) Brother-in-law’s house located at Ramahari  Nagar, Berhampur and (6) house of his brother located at Plot No. N/6-274, IRC Village, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar were simultaneously searched today  i.e. on 12.10.2017  by the Officers of Vigilance, Cell Division,  Cuttack on the strength of search Warrants issued by the Hon’ble Court.

                   During search, the following approximate movable and immovable assets have been traced out from the possession of Sri Sahu and his family members.

1.	Approximate cost of residential and commercial complex located at Bhabinipur, Mouza- Basudev Nagar, Berhampur.	Rs.	39,05,208/-
2.	Approximate cost of double storied building at Bapuji Nagar, 2nd lane, Bank Colony, Medical Campus, Berhampur.	Rs.	18,00,000/-
3.	Approximate cost of double storied building at his native village- Jagannath Marg (Rangani Sahi) P.S.- Hinjilikatu, Dist. Ganjam.	Rs.	5,00,000/-
4.	Cost of 05 Plots at Bhabinipur, Berhampur.	Rs.	1,88,850/-
5.	Bank deposits in different banks.	Rs.	2,50,000/-
6.	Approximate cost of house hold articles.	Rs.	3,00,000/-
7.	Gold ornaments weighing 178 .729 grams	Rs.	5,36,000/-
8.	Cash	Rs.	37,330/-
9.	Cost of Hyundai i-10 sport Car bearing No. OD-07-G 7666.	Rs.	5,56,000/-
10.	Cost of Hero Honda Glamour motor cycle bearing No. OD-02-C1734.	Rs.	70,000/-
11.	Cost of Suzuki Giffer motor cycle bearing No. OD-07-K 7666.	Rs.	96,000/-
12.	Cost of Bajaj Pulser-200 motor cycle.	Rs.	1,38,000/-
	Total	Rs.	83,77,388/-

                  

                   Thus, the total assets of Sri Niranjan Sahu has been calculated as  Rs. 83,77,388/- so far. The enquiry is in progress.

2)     GRAMYA BANK BRANCH MANAGER CONVICTED IN VIGILANCE CASE.

Today i.e. on 12.10.2017, the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack convicted Sri Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, Ex-Branch Manager, Cuttack Gramya Bank, Panchu Pandaba Branch, Dist. Kendrapara and sentenced him to undergo R.I for a period of 02 years and to pay fine of Rs.5,000/-, in default, to undergo R.I for a period of 04 months on each count for the offence  U/s 13(1)(d)/ 7 P.C.Act, 1988. Both the sentences are to run concurrently. 

          It relates to Cuttack Vigilance P.S. Case No. 13 dt. 27.03.2002 U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1) (d) / 7 P.C.Act, 1988. Sri Yudhistira Sethi, Vill. Mundilo, PS/Dist. Kendrapara had lodged a complaint against Sri Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, Ex-Branch Manager for demanding bribe of Rs. 2,000/- to release a loan amounting to Rs.20,000/- under IRDP scheme. On completion of investigation, charge sheet was submitted against Sri Suresh Chandra Mohapatra to face the trial in the court of law.

                                                                                                                                                                                      

           Sri Pradipta Kumar Routray, Ex-Inspector, Vigilance, Cuttack Division, Cuttack was the Investigating Officer of the case and Sri J.M.Das, Spl. P.P, Vigilance Court, Cuttack conducted the case on behalf of the prosecution.
