30 TH NATIONAL YOUTH PARLIAMENT COMPETITION AT KV NO.3, BHUBANESWAR


The 30 th National Youth Parliament Competition (Regional Level) of Kendriya Vidyalaya
Sangathan, Bhubaneswar Region was organised at Kendriya Vidyalaya No.3 Bhubaneswar
on 18 th & 19 th August 2017. Hon’ble Shri Mahamegha Bahan Aira Kharabela Swain, Ex-MP,
Lok Sabha was kind enough to grace the occasion as the chief guest and inaugurate this
competition. He also acted as the Chief Judge of this competition. The other esteemed
judges were Dr. D Ojha, Assistant Commissioner, KVS Bhubaneswar Region and Shri D
Purohit, Principal, KV No.3 Bhubaneswar. Around 275 participants from five Kendriya
Vidyalayas of Bhubaneswar region viz, KV Military Station Gopalpur , KV Puri , KV No.2
CRPF Bhubaneswar , KV No.2 Sri Vijayanagar and KV No.2 Nausenabaugh ,
Visakhapatnam participated in this competition. This competition was conducted as per the
rules and regulations framed by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Govt. Of India. The
team which stands first will participate in Zonal Level Competition with the motto to
strengthen the roots of democracy, inculcate healthy habits of discipline, tolerance of the
views of others and to enable the student’s community to be aware about the functioning of
our Parliament. The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has decided in consultation with the
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan to introduce a scheme of National Youth Parliament
Competition in Kendriya Vidyalaya throughout the country and to hold “Youth Parliament”
annually among Kendriya Vidyalaya in all the 25 regions.
