Peaceful Dharna by Non-Teaching Employees at CUO called off.

The Peaceful Dharna called by the permanent group B and group C Non-Teaching staff of the Central University of Orissa has been called off today after discussion with the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sachidananda Mohanty. The Vice-Chancellor has accepted all the four demands of the non-teaching staff.  

Prof Mohanty said “the CUO is a family and it is important that we sort out our differences through a process of dialogue. We have important tasks ahead and we should dedicate ourselves to the overall growth of the University.” He thanked them for their co-operation. The employees reciprocated and resumed work immediately

The demands of the non-teaching staff include time-bound promotions, enhanced medical facilities, housing facilities in other available Govt. and public sector quarters and permission to apply for other outside employment in Government sectors. All the above demands has been considered and fulfilled sympathetically by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the CUO. The employees moved to their respective place and resumed their work.

Under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mohanty, the University is doing its best to constantly address to the needs of all section of the University community. He extends his thanks to the University and appeals to all to maintain peace and harmony for the betterment of the Institution.
