Valedictory Ceremony of BJEM MUN - 2017


Bhubaneswar, Aug 13: The three day long BJEM MUN -2017 (Model United
Nations) Conference has successfully come to an end in the BJEM School
premises. The conference was aimed at giving young minds an exposure to
spectrum of burning socio-economic and environmental issues at large and so as
to discuss their possible solutions. Around 800 delegates from 35 schools across
the country and abroad have carried with them the simulated experiences of the
UNO. Attending the valedictory session as the Chief Guest Mr. D. K. Roy,
Former DG, Income Tax & Chairman, OERC said that such MUN conferences
will encourage the youth to prepare future political and human leaderships in
order to ensure global peace and harmony by mitigating myriad of issues. He
also appealed the delegates to be aware of their global responsibilities and work
sincerely for sustainable development on all fronts.

Prizes were also given away to the winning participants representing various
nations in different categories. The closing ceremony was attended by Mr.
Gagan Chandra Das, Chairman of the School, Mr. P. K. Jena, Manager,
Ms. Sandhya Jena, Organizing Committee members of BJEM MUN-2017, EB
Members, School Managing Committee members and faculty members of the
school. The thrilling cultural performances by children indeed offered a visual
treat to the crowd. At last Manish Banerjee, Secretary General of BJEM MUN-
2017 offered vote of thanks.
