ALERT TRAIN PILOTS AWARDED FOR SAFE WORKING

Shri B. Jagadeesh, Loco-Pilot & Shri K. V. Krishna, Assistant Loco Pilot of Bacheli Station (Dantewada District of Chhattisgarh) under Waltair Railway Division of East Coast Railway while performing their duties on 30th July, 2017 in a Goods Train from Jagadalpur to Koraput observed some fish plates & coil spring kept on the track by the miscreants at about 05.20P.M at the Khadapa Station Yard (Koraput District of Odisha) and immediately stopped the train and averted a possible major disaster and loss to Railway property.
 
On reporting to Khadapa Station Station Manager, RPF/Jeypore and Senior Section Engineer/Permanent Way attended the spot and removed three fish plates and one coil spring from the Railway Track for train operations.

Due to the alertness, sincere, vigilant and prompt action of both the Loco-Pilots to avoid the possible mishap, General Manager, East Coast Railway Shri Umesh Singh felicitated them with cash award.
