tools to succeed, Hon'ble HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar also present at convocation
Cuttack, 22nd August, 2017: World renowned humanitarian, spiritual leader and founder of
The Art of Living, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar presided over the 4th Convocation
Ceremony of Sri Sri University, along with the Human Resource Development Minister, Mr.
Prakash Javadekar.
Gurudev advising the student body on coping with tough times in life said, “Smile through
all the challenges and remain confident. They’ll soon turn into opportunities. Students
should work with innovation, intuition and intelligence,” adding that service is the formula
for happiness. Prakash Javadekar also addressed the gathering and said that learning is
not only about gaining knowledge, but about becoming a better human being.
169 graduates and post graduates received their degrees in unique fields such as Good
Governance and Public Policy, Yogic Sciences and Performing Arts. The university boasts
of a diverse student body from 6 countries pursuing 19 types of courses.
During his two day visit to the university, Gurudev participated in public Satsangs where he
interacted with students, and answered their questions about life, spirituality and
education. “Have clarity in mind, purity in heart and sincerity in action,” he told them at the
Satsang.
