NATIONAL WORKSHOP OF ALL INDIA FORWARD BLOC BEGINS

The three day National Workshop of All India Forward Bloc, the party founded by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose started today at Lohia Institute, Bhubaneshwar. The Workshop was inaugurated by Com. Debabrata Biswas, Ex.M.P & the General Secretary of the party.

While addressing the inaugural session of the Workshop, Com. Biswas came down heavily on the wrong doings of Modi government at centre. He said that the government has failed to fulfill the promises made by Narendra Modi during the last Lok Sabha election campaign. Unemployment are increasing, prices of all essential commodities are sky rocketing, public sector units are being privatizing, farmers are committing suicide, small traders are suffering due to demonetization and unscientific GST, minorities and dalits are being attacked and deprived from their fundamental rights. The prestige of the nation is at peril under the three year dispensation of Narendra Modi. The RSS is not only controlling the government through its Hindurashtra ideology but also dividing the society on religious basis. While doing so, the RSS and the government are destroying the basic principles of our time – tested secular traditions. Com. Biswas further said that only the ideology of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose can save our great nation from this crisis. Therefore a new movement is needed to save the country and to change the country.

Earlier the party flag was hoisted by Com. Biswas at Lohia Academy. The leaders of Forward Bloc paid floral tributes to the martyrs at specially erected martyr’s column at the venue. The Central leaders of the party lighted the lamp before the inaugural address.

During the workshop, the Central leaders will speak on various issues such agricultural crisis, the up rise of peasants and workers, atrocities against minorities and dalits, issues of youth, student and women, the impact of liberalized economic policies, history and relevance of Forward Bloc etc. More than 200 delegates from different states of our country have participated in the workshop.

Com. Jyoti Ranjan Mohapatra, State General Secretary of Forward Bloc made the welcome address and Com. Purna Chandra Padhi, State Chairman of the party offered vote of thanks. The Central Secretariat members of the Forward Bloc Com. (Dr.) Barun Mukherjee Ex.MP, Com. Joyanta Roy Ex.MP, Com. Naren Dey (Ex.minister of Bengal), Com. G. Devarajan (Kerala), Com. Hafiz Alam Sairani (Ex. Minister of Bengal), Com. Bir Singh Mahato Ex.MP, Com. G.R. Shivashankar (Karnataka), Com. Shyamal Roy (Tripura) consisting the presidium, which controls the proceedings of the workshop. Com. (Dr.) Barun Mukherjee is acting as the chairman of the presidium.
