Bhubaneswar, 9 th August 2017:
Ramoji Krian Universe, the unique institution located in the world’s largest
film studio Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad and a joint venture of Ramoji Group and
Krian Media Limited, organised a seminar on ‘Creative Careers’ for students of
the smart city Bhubaneswar today.Prof. Ujjal Chowdhury, Director, RKU presented
the idea behind the institution which is going to launch 1-year PG Diploma
program in various subjects of media, design and film. He interacted with the
students from various colleges and universities on how to build a career in
creative studies and convert one strong passion into a successful profession. The
seminar saw young achievers from the state playback singers Barnali Hota and
Satyajit Pradhan being felicitated by RKU for their outstanding talent and hard
work that made them a household name. The Ramoji Krian Universe, a proposed
private university of Telengana state, promises to deliver world-class teaching
and skill development with the new age curriculum having a proper mix of
classroom, practical, project and internship activity. “The theoretical knowledge
along with hands on skill especially in a creative environment like Ramoji FilmCity
shall deliver number of professional to the industry”, said Prof. Chowdhury at
the occasion. “We foster student & industry relations and provide
worldwide exposure to the students”, says Mr. Kaushik Datta Sharma, Associate
Professor, RKU and former Associate Chief Producer, Eenadu Television (ETV).“Do
what you are passionate about and love what you do”, said Mr. Nilambar Rath, MD
& CEO, OdishaLIVE, who graced the event as a Guest of Honour. “Gone at
the days when people would not get chance to pursue on a creative subject if
they are strongly passionate about. The world has opened all doors for them”,
he added. Ramoji Krian Universe (RKU) is going to launch the first set of
programs from September 2017 covering the core areas of creative studies like
media, animation, design, acting, film making, photography, fashion design,
event management, digital media etc. in 40 diverse disciplines.
