ASSISTANT ENGINEER CAUGHT BY VIGILANCE ON GRAFT CHARGE.
Today i.e on 12.09.2017, Sri Chakradhar Bhuyan, Asst. Engineer, Biramitrapur Municipality, Dist. Sundargarh was caught by the Officers of Vigilance, Sambalpur Division, while demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs.15,000/- from Sri Jageswar Sharma, Power of Attorney holder of Contractor Sri Prafulla Kujur to release his security deposit amounting to Rs.1, 10,000/-, which was deposited by him  towards execution of 07 developmental works.
Accordingly, a trap was laid on 12.09.2017 at about 01.35 PM. The accused Sri Bhuyan, Asst. Engineer was caught red handed in his office room, while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.15,000/- from the Complt. Sri Sharma. The bribe money has been recovered from the drawer of the table of his office. Both his hand wash gave positive chemical reaction confirming handling and acceptance of bribe. His residential Govt. quarter at Biramitrapur and paternal house at Bhadrak Town are being searched.
                In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance P.S. case No.64 dt.11.09.2017 U/s 7 P.C. Act, 1988 has been registered.
