Sanjay Dutt: “I rehearsed 16 days before facing Madhuri for Tamma Tamma”
This Saturday, 16 th September @9PM, watch actor Sanjay Duttgetting floored by the singing prowess of the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs…
Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs has made its mark as India's biggest singing
reality, winning over audiences with its extraordinary singing talent. While the
Top 5 super talented ‘Toofans’ and ‘Bhukamps’ are giving each other tough
competition and enthralling the audience with their superlative singing
capabilities, this Saturday, the viewers are in for a treat as Bollywood’s very
own Munnabhai Sanjay Dutt will appear on the show and interact with the
audience, judges, jury and contestants.
This weekend, the Li’l Champs will pay tribute to the iconic actor and perform to
some of Sanjay Dutt’s most popular numbers. The highlight of the evening will be
Dhroon Tickoo’s energetic act to Sanjay Dutt’s all-time hit song ‘Tamma Tamma’.
Dhroon not only managed to impress the megastar but also had him recreate his
signature step from the song after 27 years. The performance took Sanjay Dutt
down memory lane where he reminisced the old days and even revealed a little
secret of his. When he was told that he had to perform alongside the ace dancer
and acting diva Madhuri Dixit, he was apprehensive and developed cold feet. He
said that he spent close to 16 days rehearsing for the song until he got it right and
became confident about performing it live with Madhuri Dixit herself.
Everyone’s favourite Baba spoke candidly about his childhood days and shared his
experience from the time he spent at the Yerwada Jail. Not many would know
that during his four year sentence, Sanjay Dutt utilized his time by starting a radio
station for the jail inmates where he would talk about current affairs and play
songs to entertain them. He also spent hours reading and reciting Mahabharat
and Ramayan’s verses which gave him the strength to sail through the tough
times. Before signing off, Sanjay Dutt said that he would love to come on Sa Re
Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs every day as the kids are amazing and extremely talented.
